Cookie Policy
Last reviewed on 2026-04-24.
This page lists the cookie categories used on HouseholdRobot.net, what each does, how long it lasts, and how to turn any of them off. For the broader context (what data we collect, your rights under GDPR and CCPA), see the Privacy Policy.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website or one of its partners stores in your browser. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — work the same way for the purposes of this policy. Cookies can be "first-party" (set by householdrobot.net) or "third-party" (set by a different domain, such as a Google ad service).
Cookie Categories in Use
1. Strictly Necessary
HouseholdRobot.net is a static reference site. No cookies are required to read the content; the site functions with cookies fully blocked.
2. Analytics (First-Party)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9NJFPCXK31) to count visits, measure which pages are used, and detect errors. Cookies set by Google Analytics include:
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users | Up to 2 years |
_ga_G-9NJFPCXK31 | Google Analytics | Persists session state for GA4 | Up to 2 years |
_gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users (24-hour ID) | 24 hours |
3. Advertising (Third-Party — Google AdSense and Partners)
Where enabled, advertising on this site is served by Google AdSense. Google and its certified ad-tech partners, acting as third-party vendors, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. These may include:
| Name (examples) | Provider | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads | Ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement | Up to 13 months | |
__gpi | Ad personalization identifier | Up to 13 months | |
IDE | Google DoubleClick | Ad measurement and reporting | Up to 13 months |
| Partner cookies | Google-certified ad-tech vendors | Ad serving, measurement, fraud prevention | Varies by vendor |
Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Google's practices are described in the Google advertising policy, and the current list of certified partners is maintained in Google's Ad Manager partner documentation.
4. Affiliate Attribution
Outbound links to Amazon carry our Amazon Associates tag. When you click one of those links, Amazon may set its own cookies on amazon.com to attribute any resulting purchase. Those cookies are set by Amazon, not by us, and are governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
How to Manage or Opt Out
Browser Controls
All major browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies. The steps differ per browser; see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Google Analytics Opt-Out
You can install Google's official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block GA across all sites in that browser.
Advertising Opt-Out
- Google Ad Settings — turn off personalized ads from Google.
- Digital Advertising Alliance (aboutads.info) — opt out from many US ad networks at once.
- Your Online Choices — the equivalent opt-out for EU users.
Opting out stops personalization; you may still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.
Do Not Track
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where we detect it. Browser "Do Not Track" headers are not uniformly supported by the advertising ecosystem; the opt-out links above are more reliable.
Children
HouseholdRobot.net is intended for adult consumers. We do not knowingly use advertising cookies to personalize ads to children under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction.
Changes to This Policy
When we add, remove, or replace analytics or advertising vendors, this page is updated and the "Last reviewed" date at the top is changed.
