About HouseholdRobot.net
Our Mission: To build the single most exhaustive technical database and comparison engine for household automation robots.
What We Are
HouseholdRobot.net is a technical database, not a traditional review site. We collect, verify, and present objective specifications for household robots across six categories: robot vacuums, robotic lawn mowers, pool cleaners, window cleaners, robot mops, and companion robots.
Think of us as the Rtings.com meets Wikipedia for home automation. We prioritize:
- Measurable Data: Suction power (Pa), battery life (minutes), navigation technology, dimensions, noise levels
- Objective Comparisons: Side-by-side spec tables, no subjective "overall ratings"
- Technical Accuracy: All specs cross-referenced with manufacturer datasheets and verified at trade shows (CES 2026)
- Zero Marketing Fluff: We describe what a robot does, not how "amazing" it is
What We Are Not
We are not a traditional product review site. You won't find:
- Subjective "overall scores" out of 10
- Paid placements or sponsored "best of" lists
- Affiliate bias (all robots presented identically regardless of commission rates)
- Marketing language ("revolutionary," "game-changing," "must-have")
- Video reviews or unboxing content
Our Philosophy: The "100/100" Approach
Speed is a feature. We reject heavy JavaScript, excessive animations, and bloat. Every page on this site is designed to achieve a 100/100 Google PageSpeed score through:
- Zero-JavaScript architecture (pure HTML + CSS)
- System fonts only (no web font downloads)
- Text-first content structure (no images above the fold)
- SVG icons instead of photo graphics
- Optimized for mobile-first experience
We believe the fastest way to deliver information is through well-structured text and data tables. Users searching for technical specs don't need animations—they need answers.
How We Review Robots
1. Data Collection
We build structured datasets (CSV/JSON format) containing:
- Technical specifications from manufacturer datasheets
- Measurements from trade show demonstrations (CES, IFA)
- Firmware capabilities and software features
- Price history and market positioning
2. Verification
Every specification is cross-referenced against:
- Official product documentation
- Manufacturer press releases
- Third-party testing results (when available)
- User manual technical appendices
3. Comparison Generation
Once verified data enters our database, we programmatically generate:
- Category pages: All robots in a category sorted by key specs
- Comparison pages: Head-to-head matchups highlighting differences
- "Best For" guides: Filtered results for specific constraints (pet hair, steep slopes, budget)
4. Monthly Updates
The household robot market moves quickly. We update our database:
- When new models launch
- After major firmware updates that change capabilities
- When prices change significantly (>15%)
- Following manufacturer spec corrections or recalls
Why We Started This
Existing robot vacuum review sites suffer from three problems:
- Affiliate Bias: "Best" lists skewed toward high-commission products
- Subjective Scoring: A "9/10" rating tells you nothing about whether it works on your carpet type
- Missing Specs: Reviews focus on unboxing experience instead of technical capabilities
We believed there was space for a data-first approach. Users who know they need "LiDAR navigation for 2,500 sq ft with 180+ minute battery life" shouldn't have to watch 10-minute YouTube videos to find that information.
Revenue Model Transparency
HouseholdRobot.net uses Amazon affiliate links on product pages. When you click "Check price on Amazon," we may earn a small commission if you purchase.
Important: Our database structure is identical for all products regardless of affiliate commission rates. A robot with a 1% commission receives the same data presentation as one with 8%. The specs decide the ranking, not the payout.
We believe this approach maintains editorial integrity while sustaining the site's operation and database maintenance costs.

Future Roadmap
We're continuously expanding the database. Planned additions include:
- Robot Litter Boxes: Automatic waste management systems
- Robotic Pet Feeders: Scheduled feeding with portion control
- Gutter Cleaning Robots: Autonomous exterior maintenance
- Historical Data: Price tracking over time, firmware changelog
- Multi-robot Comparison: Compare 3-5 robots simultaneously
Contact & Feedback
We welcome:
- Specification corrections: If you find an error in our database
- New robot submissions: Models we haven't yet catalogued
- Feature requests: Additional data fields or comparison dimensions

Our Commitment: HouseholdRobot.net will always prioritize technical accuracy over commercial interest. If a spec is wrong, we'll fix it—even if that robot is our highest affiliate earner.
